Chelsea Senior Center: We give a voice, a face, and a safe, vibrant place to celebrate being a senior!

If you’ve never been to the Chelsea Senior Center, you’re missing out. A trusted partner of seniors for over 60 years, the Chelsea Senior Center is a community resource like no other. Donations keep us doing what we do.

• Since April, we’ve given 1,000+ hours of respite for family caregivers in our community
• Just this year, we’ve provided 30,500+ meals to area seniors
• Since January, 1,264 unique seniors have come through our doors to engage

Your gift will have an impact. The senior population is exploding in our community. Did you know 30% of Chelsea’s citizens are 65 and better? That’s the highest senior population in Washtenaw County and TWICE the national average. For CSC, that means we have more to do! But we need your help.

• $25 toward our scholarship fund gives a membership to a struggling senior seeking connection after the death of his spouse; isolation is deadly
• $150 provides 5 hours of respite relief for a caregiver in desperate need of a trusted, safe place to leave her loved one while she goes to the doctor for the pain she’s been ignoring; a break and a chance to breathe without worry are life-saving
• $200 covers door-to-door transportation including a driver who stays with the 65-year-old senior with no family nearby during his outpatient medical procedure; peace of mind is priceless
• $780 provides a homebound grandmother a meal and friendly check-in delivered to her door each weekday for a full year; no one should go hungry
